About Us

Dar al-Mubeen: Institute of Islamic Sciences was established with a simple aim: to serve the dīn (religion) of Allah by making authentic Islamic knowledge clearer, more structured, and easier to access.
In an age where religious information is often taken from scattered videos, online personalities, and disconnected posts, many people collect fragments of knowledge and are led to believe they have understanding, while lacking the structure, context, and foundations needed to understand the dīn properly. Dar al-Mubeen seeks to provide the structure, context, and foundations needed to study the dīn properly.
Our name, "Dar al-Mubeen", reflects this purpose. It is a house of clarity, a place dedicated to explaining, teaching, and preserving beneficial knowledge. We seek Allah's help in connecting Muslims to the rich scholarly heritage of Islam while helping them build firm foundations in belief, worship, and understanding.
Dar al-Mubeen is rooted in the way of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamāʿah, following the guidance of the Salaf al-Ṣāliḥīn (pious predecessors). Our approach is built upon the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the righteous scholars who preserved, explained, and transmitted this religion across generations.
At the heart of Dar al-Mubeen is the idea that seeking Islamic knowledge is not merely information. It is one of the greatest acts a Muslim can do. It is light, It is a means of drawing closer to Allah, correcting one’s worship, purifying one’s heart, and living with purpose.
We aim to serve both everyday Muslims and students of knowledge. Whether someone is beginning their journey or seeking a more organised path through the Islamic sciences, Dar al-Mubeen seeks to provide clarity, direction, and connection to the foundations of the dīn.
As an institute and publishing house, our long-term vision is to contribute to the spread of beneficial knowledge through teaching, writing, publishing, and structured study. We hope to produce resources that are faithful to the tradition, clear in presentation, and beneficial for the ummah.

أَبُو أَحْمَد جَايمْسُ بْنُ بُولُسَ المَلِك الحَنْبَلِيّ البِرِيطَانِيّ

He was born in South East England to non-Muslim parents, descending from a long lineage of ethnically English Christian ancestry. Raised in a culturally Christian environment. Although religion was not practised in the home, traditional customs such as Christmas celebrations and school customs formed part of early life. His father held staunch atheistic views, although not based on any theological studies, but by rejecting Christianity, which he took to be representative of religion as a whole. As a result, his son adopted atheism from an early age fuelled by the same ignorance and rejection, by taking Christianity as the standard for all religion.
He embraced Islam at the age of fifteen, and since has been dedicated to Islamic studies, specifically rooted in the methodology of the Ḥanbalī madhhab. He has studied various disciplines of the Sharīʿah under multiple Shuyūkh internationally. Alongside his studies, he has also built a large personal library mainly focused on the Ḥanbalī madhhab.
